Maria has over 25 year experience in accounting with a background in management, running her own SME and working as a Finance Director for a reputable firm.

Maria originally worked for Honey Barrett in 1996, re-joining in October 2020 as a client manager in our Bexhill office.

Maria is involved at a senior level with the preparation of Tax Returns and Locum accounts for our specialist medical department and often helps other client managers with their portfolios.

Maria is responsible for reviewing Making Tax Digital updates and is qualified to advise and identify clients who may need our help to become MTD compliant, thanks to her extensive knowledge of the cloud accounting packages Xero, QuickBooks and Sage. She is a Xero certified advisor.

Maria enjoys being proactive, hands on and using her financial and business acumen to provide the best service to our clients.

Personal

Maria has a young football mad son, who keeps her busy. She likes weekends away and trips abroad in the sunshine.

She is an active supporter of the HeadSmart Be Brain Tumour Aware campaign. Raising public awareness of the signs and symptoms of brain tumours in children and young adults to reduce diagnosis time, improve patient outcome and save lives.

When relaxing Maria enjoys a glass of red wine, while socialising with her friends.
