Professional
Liz joined Honey Barrett in 1971, training as a Chartered Tax Adviser and Chartered Accountant. She established the medical services department within the firm which is now led by Abi Newbury and includes a team of eight qualified accountants, all specialising in the field. Liz is a founder member of the Association of Independent Specialist Medical Accountants, an organisation launched in 1995 to promote and develop high quality accountancy standards within the medical sector.
As she slows down towards retirement, Liz still writes a regular column for locum GPs and has contributed to various publications over the years. She continues to look after a portfolio of individual doctors and personal tax clients, always with a view to minimising their taxes and providing peace of mind.
Personal
Liz enjoys spending more time in Florida now, going for long bike rides or walks on the beach. In her spare time she’s either at the gym or crocheting. With enough warning, she aims to crochet a blanket for every first baby born to her clients.
