Abi Newbury FCA

Professional
Having qualified in 1997, Director Abi joined Honey Barrett in 2002 as a client manager for Liz Densley’s specialist medical department with a brief to help grow the client base. Abi has played a key role in expanding the firm’s medical client base and is an expert medical specialist accountant, and now heads up the medical department. Abi took over the role as the secretary and board member of AISMA from Liz Densley in June 2021.
From May 2020 Abi took over the Managing Director role for the firm from Paul Knight, and continues with her role as Marketing Director.
As well as specialising in the medical field, Abi has experience of wide-ranging businesses and currently acts for a number of clients with whom she works closely to help them get the most out of their businesses.
She was a previous winner of the East Sussex Women in Business ‘Business Mother of the Year’.
Personal
Abi has a young son and daughter to keep her busy, and enjoys supporting her husband in his photography business, including second shooting at weddings. When time allows she joins her am-dram friends singing in charity concerts and keeps fit by walking to the office on a regular basis.
