Amy James’ (ACA) promotion to Director
Honey Barrett are pleased to announce, as of October 1st 2023, Amy James' (ACA) promotion to Director.
Amy joined the team in 2010 as a work experience intern while first studying accounting and finance at university. She became a valuable member of the team and was soon promoted to client manager, gaining extensive experience in the areas of corporate, medical, and personal accountancy.
In her role as client manager, Amy's client section has grown considerably and with her hard work, dedication to Honey Barrett and determination to succeed she will undoubtedly take the challenges of Directorship in her stride.
Amy is based at our Bexhill office and will continue to manage an extensive range of personal & corporate client services offering tax advice and planning, compliance work such as accounts and tax returns, overseeing the bookkeeping department, working with MD Abi Newbury, in managing our ever growing and successful team.
Amy expressed her delight about her new role “having begun my journey at Honey Barrett over 13 years ago (as a rather shy & timid 20 year old!), it is a huge privilege to have been appointed as a Director. I very much look forward to continuing with the hard work and dedication to our clients, maintaining the excellent reputation of the firm, and working with my fellow Directors & colleagues to continue to grow and move the firm forward. There is no manual to this new stage of my career, but, whether it be assisting existing and new clients to grow and achieve their goals, implementation of ever-evolving technologies, developing my own knowledge & specialisms or molding the next generation of accountants, I feel ready to take on the many challenges that may come with Directorship and look forward to my continued career at Honey Barrett.”
