Longstanding Receptionist at Bexhill Office retires after nearly 28 years

 Evelyn Bird joined the Bexhill Office of Honey Barrett in November 1983 as receptionist having previously worked for a local Bank. Evelyn ensured that everyone received a warm and friendly welcome when calling into the office. She had an understanding ear for both visitors to the office and fellow team members and was always happy to help talk through problems, very quickly gaining the role as “mum” to Bexhill office team.
Evelyn enjoys reading, crossword puzzles and listening to classical music both at home and in the concert hall. She also has a particular interest in genealogy research and enjoys walking the many pretty routes in and around Bexhill.
We are all sorry to see her leave but wish her a long and happy retirement allowing her more time to spend with her family, and in particular Philip her husband.
