Bexhill mum Abi appointed director at local accountants

Just six months after the arrival of baby daughter Scarlett, Abi Newbury has something else to celebrate; her appointment as director at local accountancy firm Honey Barrett. At her initial interview for a trainee client manager position ten years ago Abi was told that there was no limit to opportunities for promotion within the firm for the right candidate and she has proved this to be true. During her time with Honey Barrett Abi has become a specialist in providing tax and financial advice to the medical profession and her new role will include directing the firm’s marketing strategy with managing director Paul Knight.
Director Liz Densley, who leads the medical team at Honey Barrett, says: “Abi has helped us more than double the turnover of our medical department in the ten years she has been with us, despite the Honey Barrett baby boom which has seen five babies arrive in the last three years, two of which are hers! Abi is a great example to professional women everywhere.”
